Liloy belongs to the 3rd class municipalities in the province of Zamboanga del Norte. Through unity and hardwork of the Local Government Unit of Liloy and its constituents, it has reached beyond expectations. In 2013, LGU Liloy received the Seal of Good Housekeeping.

In 2016, recognized as overall top 6th on Economic Dynamism pillar among the 3rd class municipalities in the country based Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index , and the top 2 most improved in the province.

By year 2018, Liloy awarded by the SEAL OF GOOD LOCAL GOVERNANCE in the national level.
